1. Rich in Antioxidants: Matcha is loaded with antioxidants, particularly catechins, which help combat oxidative stress and promote overall well-being.

3. Metabolism Boost: Matcha is known to increase metabolism, aiding in weight management, and promoting fat oxidation.
4. Detoxification: Chlorophyll, the green pigment in matcha, supports the body’s detoxification process and helps maintain a healthy immune system.
5. Nutrient-Rich: Packed with vitamins A, C, and E, as well as minerals such as potassium and calcium, matcha provides a nourishing boost to your daily intake.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT MATCHA
Grade Matters: Choose a ceremonial-grade matcha for a smooth, vibrant flavour. Culinary-grade matcha is suitable for cooking and blending into recipes.
Colour and Aroma: Look for a vibrant green color and a fresh, grassy aroma. These characteristics indicate a high-quality matcha powder.
Origin: Matcha from Japan, particularly from regions like Uji or Nishio, is highly regarded for its quality. The climate and soil conditions contribute to the unique flavour profile.
CRAFTING THE PERFECT COCONUT MATCHA LATTE
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon ceremonial-grade matcha powder (this is the one I use)
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (this is my favourite milk, but you can use any other)
Optional: 1-2 teaspoons sweetener of choice (e.g., honey or maple syrup)
Vanilla extract for added flavour
Instructions:
Sift the Matcha: Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to ensure a smooth and lump-free mixture.
Heat the Coconut Milk: Heat the coconut milk in a saucepan until hot but not boiling. If using a milk frother, you can froth the coconut milk for added creaminess.
Whisk the Matcha: Add a small amount of hot water to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously in a “W” or “M” motion until a smooth, frothy consistency is achieved.
Combine and Sweeten: Pour the whisked matcha into a mug. Add the heated coconut milk, sweeten to taste, and stir well.
Optional Garnish: For an extra touch, garnish your Coconut Matcha Latte with a sprinkle of matcha powder or coconut flakes.
